lines & lightness

thoughts behind
a lounger of lightness.
fine slats are lined up next to each other and their length interacts to create the outer shape. vertical and horizontal bars alternate and meet in the corners with a design-defining detail. a material thickness and a corner connection are the only components of the construction.
when walking around the object, the moire effect comes to light; when two patterns are superimposed, a new pattern is created. the black coloring of the wooden sticks makes this effect even more pronounced.

passage is an object that plays with transparency and concealment. individual rods are visible from the front, when viewed diagonally they become ribbed surfaces, from the side the surfaces become a tube. a functional sculpture that plays with light and shadow and delights with countless details.
