narrative artwork

based on the three elementary basic shapes – triangle, circle and square – a sculptural exploration of geometry, volume and function unfolds. the abstracted forms are transformed into three-dimensional bodies and joined to form a sculptural unit. the result are monolithic blocks that dock onto one another, merge into one another and form a new, coherent structure.

the starting material is narrow wooden planks, which are first carefully joined and glued together. the final shape is worked out of these laminated blocks – a sculptural process. the addition of the individual bodies creates a functional sculpture – an autonomous artistic object.
